How It Works
Using specially developed and patented algorithms, we can make sound appear to come from any location in 3D around you. We compute the route, then the music changes location to guide you as you walk.
Who We Are
A team of engineers and mathematicians with a vision of tech helping to improve peoples lives with a special focus on blind and visually impaired users. We specialise in DSP, audio, AI and developing new algorithms.
Our products use our patented spatial audio technology for navigation. You can easily find your way by listening to your favorite music and walking towards it. We also have a version for the visually impaired and blind users. By intelligently positioning the music or audio a few meters in front of you the app indicates the direction to go. Current audio-assisted navigation systems offer relatively modest help when navigating without looking at a screen. They are not continuously real-time; a message like “turn left into main street on one hundred meters” is both annoying and unnatural and can interrupt you call or music. And if you have ever used verbal navigation pronouncing street names in a foreign country, you would know how confusing it can be, even if there is a street sign to read. If you are riding a bike, this could even be dangerous.
The developing market of Augmented Spatial Audio (ASA) and Non-Visual Navigation (NVN) is addressing this very challenge among others. Dynamic 3D audio guidance is technology that does not rely on voice commands; instead if offers a sound or music source that continuously precedes you and guides you to your destination. The audio can be music, or a podcast or speech and we can even add layers of sounds that give a sense of the surroundings. One challenge with Bluetooth-enabled ear devices is latency. Our ultra low latency patented technology helps solve many of the perception challenges with using Bluetooth for real-time 3D special guidance while running or riding a bike. AI adds the cherry on the cake, where you can ask questions about your surroundings or what you are looking at.
