SANDe F1 Lets Sound Lead the Way
AudioDimension presents SANDe, the open-ear headset that combines listening with spatial audio navigation, turning sound into a guide.
January 6–9, 2027 Las Vegas
What if your music could point you in the right direction? At CES 2027, AudioDimension will introduce an experience that brings together audio technology, design and navigation: SANDe, a wearable device designed to guide people through sound perceived in space.
The principle is intuitive: sound appears to come from the direction you need to follow. Through spatial audio processing and head tracking, the audio guidance updates in real time, maintaining its directional reference even when you turn your head. Music becomes part of the navigation experience, offering an alternative to constantly checking a screen.
SANde combines the functions of a Bluetooth headset with audio navigation, connecting to iOS and Android smartphones. Its open-ear design leaves the ears uncovered, allowing users to enjoy audio while remaining connected to the sounds around them. Through the AudiNav system, routes are translated into directional audio guidance that can also work with users’ own music.
Designed for pedestrians, cyclists and tourists, the project also explores accessibility opportunities for blind and visually impaired people. Delivering information through the perceived position of sound offers a way to interact that requires less visual attention, placing the relationship between the body, listening and space at its heart.
The presentation at CES 2027 will offer an opportunity to discover AudioDimension’s approach with SANDe; listening takes on an additional role: guiding movement and making direction something you can hear.
